Information
The Scottish Government has issued guidelines for opening that include a comprehensive risk assessment
and detailed guide for deep cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
The health and safety of our guests and Leigh, who cleans the cottage is our main concern, so please be
assured that we will be implementing the all the cleaning procedures rigorously. Leigh has now completed a
Covid 19 cleaning course and the laundry has been outsource to professional cleaning company. We will
adopting the Good To Go certification initiative developed by Visit England in partnership with Visit Scotland.
We will not be asking guests for a cleaning supplement however we will need more time to clean the cottage
effectively on our Saturday changeover. We will be asking guests to leave at 9.00 AM and arrive at 5.00PM .
If you develop any symptoms of Covid 19 before or during your stay please let me know a.s.a.p.
Parking : You can park in front of the house. Please do not leave the car parked out on the single track road.
Garden Walls : In common with boundaries in the West of Scotland the dykes are of ‘dry-stone’ construction and under no circumstances should anyone, especially children, climb on them as heavy stones may topple.
DOGS
We have a Collie and she loves being at Assynt Cottage. She is not allowed to use the garden as a toilet and indoors she is forbidden to climb onto furniture and she is not allowed upstairs to the bedrooms. Owners should hoover up any dog hairs before leaving.
Please clean up after your dog as there will be children playing in the garden throughout the summer. There are ‘poo bags’ in the utility room for your use and a ‘poo
scoop hanging by the Barn door.
There are sheep and cattle close at hand and it is absolutely vital that guests keep their dogs under strict control.
We would ask that owners and pets follow these simple requests.
9.00 am is ‘check - out’ time.
Please leave keys on the table. Thank you.
Please leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition and all windows left open to ventilate..
Please leave bed linen towels and dish cloths in the laundry bags provided. Duvets placed in bags provided.
Please empty the fridge/freezer and ensure that the contents of all indoor bins/pedalbins etc. are placed in black bags and put in the outdoor ‘wheelie bin’.
If you have a dog on holiday please check the garden for any mess.
